Dear Sir, could i humbly suggest you are doing no good for the real sufferers of this last 20ish year societal disaster. So many even in rural Britain i have lived many years also nowadays lost to... And Peterson, frankly... please read on. In my extremely ordinary youth forty five years ago in a very underprivileged and poorly educated area of the Uk (N Wales - same as the US 'rust belt') some of us would rebel (mainly against alcohol) via a bit of pot - better for you, and a small minority would occasionally partake of a bit of shoecleaner sniffing (rather than glue known to be yucky), or decant the codeine off kaolin and morphine cough medicine to get the occasional more yummy high. But every single one of us no matter how lost and loon knew, even then, 45 years ago!" you do NOT guzzle more than a couple of mum's Valium as there lies the road to (addictive) ruin... ditto speed etc (myself thankfully growing out of all such substances age about 23 having nearly come a coke cropper)
When i stumbled across the story 4 or 5 years ago of supposedly the worlds leading intellectual, guru to millions of younger people, and paid to be a professor of psych at a world class university seemed to be 'unaware' that psychotropic substances are... as you describe, brain damage, addictive etc., i was aghast that not only did he not seem to know this already, but far worse also blames SOMEONE ELSE - the whole tenet of their sorry tale that he is almost innocent 'victim', for HIS complete and utter failure to apply the precautionary principle to any 'medicine', never mind strong psychotropics we underclass knew 45 years ago were the road to ruin. And then lure his own daughter into this narcissistic world-class embarrassment.. when a wise father (i have a 27 year old and god i hope his attention seeking tragic disaster of 'poor me' hasn't ever influenced her) would immediately hold himself up TO the world as an example for THEIR sake as the worst fool ever to have had university tenure, or infact lived in all of modernity...and "for gods sake LEARN from my disastrous bad choice" - his, nobody elses... and i have had chronic pain after serious neck injury 20 years ago, prescribed just such psychos,and chucked em straight in the toilet thank you so im not some Ayn Rand 'good for me' type....
That is the only message our children need to hear..perhaps you could do a duty to medicine and spread that one instead ... (i have been an undergrad at UKs top psych uni as adult student, i am not a hippy, or rather i am in that i universally CARE for all humans even for fools such as him.. and want all to be correctly educated how to avoid these hells and i know nobody ever dare say this thats the ONLY way the next gen learn... and as for Nan Goldin blaming HER choice to become an addict on the manufacturer - worst ever example to set this current drug munchin cohort... and above all defecting the cause for our bad choices on ANY other entity is the one very worst message out there to prevent genuine recovery ) ....surely you know this sir... or maybe the world really has gone 100% mad - self-inflicted-hubris - everywhere... as your subject of this video clearly was
