now i am so 'digitally minimalist' as of 25 years ago i told my part time humble staff " we have so many enquiries for our extremely moral caring rare book searching service... we will have to tell them ' we cant keep up but we find that those who come into the little shop in person, or phone up and speak with us ... or write real letters with pen and ink.... are not only ALWAYS a delight to deal with, on the extremely rare occasion something is lost in the post on its way in to us when we explain our procedures to them person to person they are always undertsanding and nice.... never mind they actually spend more money with us ... whereas you whom email are so often unable to read the extremely simple ts and cs which state 'we may very rarely have to reorder a lost book from australia or wherever so please bear with us if so.... and PHONE us for a catch up any time....' and never mind they always get rude and arsey via their emails so we leave their orders to last mainly as they spend less cash with us ... and arent anything like as loyal as our many many times returning customers ..."
