I am so glad to have explored three fabulous but dull years: thirty years ago the owers that be put in ' set aside' or 15 ish metre strips around an arable field left tor the birds and bees.
It sort of worked....
Was legally or economically wedged in over time in some regions But organisations like NFU would be sulky and " ehhh up don't like idea of this its an attack on the farmer"
And what do we have thirty years on on Farmin Today today the NFU babe begging for the bug strips
