so..it's as if... if just becausefolk are 'performing' they're on a walk theyre exempt.... from rather a lot. Despite most of them will have some virtuous NAtional trust or other such toxic organisation which sprays foiliage with very toxic chemicals (very very filmed lasteryear in the most so called natural nature valley of the whole region) thus killing millions of bees... as stickers in their car window. Most also bumpersticking their finger up "i love the bees" or some such lies...
SO a good walker - and walking is quite a symbolic activity, not only reuses the plastic rubbish bags
Looks after the little charging wires that get damaged rather easily
Maybe even understands that 'walking' boots, cannot be recycled and often dont last that long even if a so called 'better' brand...
So maybe should be only used when really necessary...
But then... it's as if the high and mighty hollier than thou of the paths are somehow exempt from eco-thought.. "look at me i am off on my ...'adventure'..." . thus all my actions will be above thoughtfulness...

Well... 2020 i noticed something:
If one lives propper rural, then one must always think of the actual local in habitants many of whom will never get around to donning the neon if stumbling home from the pub at night...
And this drive as if the walker has the right of way... even if s/he is being a tad self-harmy...
But that's the law. There is no sub clause in British law that says if you are ona road at night you are responsible for some showoff creep's 2 grand numberplate if he dings you because he is driving too fast...
But (as an occasional dusktime wanderer back froma long hillwalk or god forbid on an old bike) ... something changed. The vitriol displayed if one isn't full-neon... in places where most don't actually do much neon.
And of course creeping ....every single Just Stop oil or othersuch M25 action " criminals blocking the roads so that hundreds are certainly dying because their ambulances aren't able to get to them in time to liposuct them.." on the wireless by default...
Well i know for a fact that on upsyydownsy ground you are less likely to twist an ankle if bounding along in ballet pumps...
E Lucas' best ever ye olde walking book scientifically stated just that - effnix don't fuck around with showing off... utilitarianism is all that matters when your dinner depends on...efficiency.
And poor E with his hobnailed walking boots wasn't very efficient compared to the effnix moccasins which bingo also were nice and dry the next morn if taken to bed and tucked up under the furs ...unlike E's boots which ne3ver quite dried out
So.... as there is i am sure i know at least a small extra risk factor with silly boots on especially in summer ..or spring..or autumn... ... well they should pay part of the hellicopter costs as an ankle tax levy....and thats a lot of "them"'s cash
