I am the lucky one I know.. i have lived longer than i would.... had thirty years ago i not taken myself aside permanently from the crushing status crowd .. my family subtly bought into hook line and sinker... everything special, but no simple frame of mind around simple non consumer values...
And then as all alcoholics are, the father who can only ever discuss anything with reference his not very modern values... the addict only ever to frame everything around his pain and self loathing, the centre of a very small dull universe.
the provocative deliberate racial slurs even if not really a fullon racist.. the rabbit-in-headlights inability to ponder if modern architecture really was all ' good' for the human soul....

But even if ' alternative lifestyle' in the UK where it has been colonised by 99% market traders... who never admit they only were drawn to easy trading... is in fact EVERY single value i knew was a good value to aim for 30 years ago and almost all political querying states that most of the rest caught up... as thry sgree in principle:
nice to the planet, accepting all bloodlines, not being greedy about consumption....
