chronicler's note
No axe to grind here. Sadly no one worth bothering to sharpen it on behalf of.
Indeed that's the real laugh - the way they require a chainsaw certificate just to look at one. And put on their wall.
Never mind an actual rural worker knows that a blunt axe in fact does a better job. If your 'comfort' does actually depend on the logpile...
More bang for buck. Every step of the dance and every joule calculated aforethought to just about get by...
when it seems only one sex actually DOes whats ... essential to get by.
I must get to my fuller context
Chronicle diaries.
A Best journey in The World
(i tell them all the over 50s - my god you feel ten years younger AND the laughter all around... )
As i thought could be my last
("lookin' it up on Wikkipedia ...Lastminute dot com...'South America's poorest country' i knew as soon as i got off the plane ..if not sooner, a real knife in the gut...but on entering the terminal.... ' my ohh my whats that strangest din.... and up to the plaza...
no hustlin' harassin', only endless laughter" )
A wonderful audio diary of a few weeks in real Paradise..
2017
oops i have so forgotten whats up and whats not
yet
On the way back out, all budget travellers of Bolivia stop off at
" wow i havent been to a Youth Hostel for thirty odd years..even this will be interesting and... "
La Paz kindof just a transitory place
Great big skyscraper hostel
shared rooms ... half a dozen beds
fair few smiley European faces
I guess maybe half at least, the following day are off to the stations or airport
crack of dawn.
Not much else to do in that large dusty town.
Youth Hostel last time i looked spelled respect and community
As i continued my wonderful audio travel diary
Fantastic European decent young people
Most up the next day five or six just in case
off to the airport pushed for space
(shared small bus-taxi... simple poor peeps solutions)
2am... oops....
what kind of mad women... could make such a commotion.
I am pretty sure i had left on my often forgotten to turn off recording device
The ... i dont know what to call
three graduates
backpackers....
half an hour top of voices in the corridor
then our room.... who couldnt even listen never mind think:
" can you please be quiet... most of us here asleep so we can get up for the first flight"
No need to speak pigeon English
Only the English ... can cross the class barrier from lager louts on Ibithan tour
to top of their posh bird voices a Youth Hostel corridor
And not even able to take in
the most basic human right of another within.
A an unlucky number room, whatever it was.
But a lucky number... if you like to know the actual cause.
